In 2001, Waag Society was appointed as Expert Centre for Education and IT by the Ministry of Education.
At the time, the ministry stated that Waag Society was chosen to be an Expert Centre for it's approach of new media, education and culture, based on societal movements and human behaviour. It researches how new technology can assist people in their daily live, at school or at work.
