Marleen Stikker and Christine Dedding kick off the Week of Participation with a talk on the impact of digitisation on social economy, labor market and society.
Digital tools and technologies seem to make life a lot easier. But for many people this does not apply. For example, those with physical or mental disabilities or language difficulties may experience high barriers when using digital technology. How can we make the digital world more accessible?
On Monday, October 6, as part of the Week of Participation, Waag Futurelab is organising a talk on digital technology and the future of work. Marleen Stikker (internet pioneer and founder of Waag Futurelab) and Christine Dedding (Professor Amsterdam UMC, Chair of Participation, Diversity and Justice) will talk about how AI and digital tools are changing our society and labor market and why technology is never neutral. Together with social entrepreneurs, they will discuss what you can do to help build a digital world that does allow for empowerment and inclusion.
